WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Everyone who is responsible in some way for providing consultation
services to an internal or external client and has taken a basic
Consulting Skills training course in the past four years will want to
take advantage of the learning and practice opportunities offered in
this course.
Individuals involved in Information Technology, Healthcare, Human
Relations, Finance, Manufacturing, Food Services, Government, Sales,
Service, Public, Private, and Religious Agencies as well as General
Consulting will find the learnings from this training event
invaluable.
OVERVIEW
Specific time and attention are devoted to "in depth" polishing of
contracting, presentation, problem solving, and implementation skills.
Participants will practice a variety of consulting activities and
receive feedback from fellow participants as well as the instructor.
This is a highly experiential training event. It is a
"do-assess-evaluate-receive feedback-and redesign" opportunity.
Part of the emphasis of the course is to better equip participants to
engage their clients in the consultation process and to guide them
toward ownership of the identified problems and opportunities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will experience and be able to replicate basic consulting
skills in a more polished fashion, in a way that has greater benefit
to their clients and to the relationship they have with them. They

Be positioned to make confident recommendations regarding client
readiness

Better understand the importance of developing collaborative
relationships and have some ideas that can be implemented to develop
those relationships via deliberate and planned investigation

Be equipped to conduct finely focused data gathering procedures

Investigate and create a plan for the design, development,
implementation, management, and evaluation of programs to be
initiated in response to the findings of the data gathering in the
consultation

Identify strategies for guiding your clients to accept and own the
recommendations of the consultation
